With special thanks to catcher Mike Herrera, the Pittsburgh Monongahelas took a 9th inning walk-off win over the San Juan Defenders by the score of 9-6 today and got their first win in the 2046 World Series. Herrera went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Monongahelas. The win narrows Pittsburgh's deficit to 2-1.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Herrera hit a fastball from Andy Collett for a 3-run home run. The Monongahelas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Herrera said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Labatt Park in Pittsburgh.
