Louisville Bats Go Silent in 4-0 Loss
|
The Wheat City Whiskey Jacks beat the Louisville Lightning, 4-0. Wheat City pitcher and McGregor, Florida, native Jerry Howard led the way. Howard picked up the win for Wheat City, going 8 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. With the win, Wheat City goes to 11-16, while the Lightning fall to 21-6.
The Whiskey Jacks got a big at-bat from second baseman Steve McIntyre. For the game, McIntyre went 1-4 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Wheat City a 1-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," McIntyre said after the game.
