4-1 Loss Extends Anchorage Skid
|
Phoenix pitcher Kevin Schreiber did his part in helping his team beat the Anchorage Whalers, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Anchorage is in the throes of a 9-game losing streak.
Jose Robles, the 26-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Robles contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Phoenix up, 2-1.
"We did a lot of things right," said Schreiber.
