The Tuscon Raiders stopped the Anchorage Whalers, 9-0, behind an impressive performance from Alfonso Palasios. The former first round draft pick made life miserable for Anchorage pitching. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. David Sepich earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed no runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Earning his 1st save of the year was Liam Williams.

Palasios had a big hit for Tuscon with no one out in the bottom of the eighth. With Tuscon leading 4-0, Palasios hit a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Raiders up, 7-0.

"I thought we were prepared," Anchorage manager Lookie Wookie said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."

Anchorage now has a 5-game losing streak.
