Blazers Fall Short at Dallas, 7-6
Crowds lined up early in front of Disney Arena, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2059 North American Baseball Association season. On the mound was Jaden Atchison for the visiting Mexico City Blazers and Matt Harshman for the hometown Dallas Bulldogs. In a spirited contest, the Bulldogs pulled out the win, defeating the Blazers by the score of 7-6. Especially impressive was Jaden Atchison. Dallas pitcher Ricardo Medellin got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dustin Craig got the loss.

Scott Haywood was the walk-off hero for Dallas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulldogs left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Haywood told the Dallas Daily News.
