Dominant Performance by Monson in Columbia Win
|
Columbia got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jay Monson, who frustrated Atlanta hitters en route to a 2-1 Crusaders triumph at Bomber's Park. Eric Rice got credit for the save for Columbia. It was his 6th of the year. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Columbia.
Monson gave Columbia a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings.
"I like what I saw today," said Columbia manager Lookie Wookie, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
