The New York Revolution trumped the NOVA Navigators, 7-3, at Navigator Stadium. New York left fielder Branson Schute was terrific. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Tony Lewis earned the win for New York. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 5-0. Earning his 6th save for New York was John Barnes.
Jeremy Roberson, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Roberson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 2-0.
Schute told a New York Herald reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
The Revolution, at 14-8, lead by one game in their division.
