Getting offensive support from Diego Chavez, the San Juan Defenders topped the Hamilton Hitters, 8-5. Chavez was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Defenders. Bryan Bell picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-3. He struck out 12 in 7.2 innings.
