The Hamilton Hitters picked up a win at Swiss Chalet Stadium, knocking off the Norfolk Vikings, 5-4. Starting pitcher Matt McGuire was a big reason why. Mike Robbins, now 3-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The 5th-place Hitters are now 23-32, the Vikings 21-34.

Eric Brisbon electrified the crowd in the bottom of the tenth when he took Norfolk pitcher Ruben Villa deep. His solo home run sent the Hitters home winners.

"I was a little disappointed," said Norfolk manager Lookie Wookie. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
