|
San Juan Defenders starter Tyler Hammons pitched his team past the NOVA Navigators, 3-1. Hammons picked up the win for San Juan, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. Franklin Escamilla finished the game for San Juan and earned his 9th save.
San Juan took a 3-1 lead on Nick Hall's 17th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off NOVA pitcher Oscar Garcia in the bottom of the seventh.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said San Juan skipper Lookie Wookie.
