Raptor Boats Drop 8-5 Decision
The Norfolk Vikings had to overcome a big game from Raleigh left fielder Aidan Atchison to leave Vinland Park with a victory. And they did, winning 8-5. Atchison went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Mario Sanchez, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. The Vikings saw their win-loss record go to 46-34. At the same time, the Raptor Boats fell to 55-25.

The Vikings got an important contribution from center fielder Pierre-Antoine Georges, who in the bottom of the sixth knocked a first pitch slider into right-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 8-5.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Georges.
