World Series to Defenders Thursday, August 30th , 2046 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious San Juan Defenders, that meant the North American Baseball Association World Series trophy. The Defenders took a 5-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Monongahelas at El Morro Park, winning their 3rd championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Defenders first baseman Earl Cote, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
